339 Convex Mirrors Installed in East Jakarta

In 2024, 339 convex mirrors have been installed by East Jakarta Transportation Agency in 10 sub-districts.

"We have installed convex mirrors in 339 locations. Both at bends, intersections, and other points for the comfort and safety of road users,"

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency's Traffic Section head, Benhard Tobing explained, convex mirrors have been installed at intersections and bends on alternative roads, neighborhood roads, and connecting lanes that are prone to traffic accidents.

"We have installed convex mirrors in 339 locations. Both at bends, intersections, and other points for the comfort and safety of road users," he conveyed, Thursday (1/23).

Not only convex mirrors, but his side also installed speed bump in 1,045 points. Speed bump is installed as a shock marker on roads to slow down vehicles' speed.

Moreover, his side also installed speed traps or small-scale shock markers on the middle of the road with a total length of 1,710 meters.

"We also installed road signs and zebra crossings with a total length of 9,601 meters," he added.

The installation of convex mirrors, speed bumps, speed traps, road signs, and zebra crossings was carried out to follow up on residents' proposals through Musrenbang 2023 and 2024, council members' recesses and residents who wrote their requests directly to the unit.
